Undefeated head coach Rod Brind’Amour and crew travel to Nashville tonight to take on a Predators team that’s aiming make it to the Western Conference Finals this year after a 4-3 defeat in the second round of the playoffs to the Jets.

The Hurricanes made another snip to their training camp roster today. It now sits at 35, and tonight’s lines indicate that the primary objective is continue to assess potential new additions rather than getting the old guard’s legs fresh.

Andrei Svechnikov and Brock McGinn will wing line two, and against a Predators team that likes to keep things a little rough and chippy, this may be the line to watch for its power-meets-finesse billing. Lucas Wallmark will center the first line as he battles not just to make the training camp cut, but also make an argument to become a starting center on Opening Night.

We’ll get another look at Scott Darling 2.0 with his start in net tonight. Last time out, against the Lightning, he saved all 16 shots he faced over 30 minutes of ice time, including a great recovery to get a wobbler at the line. Alex Nedeljkovic will back him up.

Here are the lines for tonight’s affair.
